Yazar Eser
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Yazar Eser : YKS, AYT Edebiyat mobile application ("App") collects, uses, stores, and shares information. The App is provided by Mert Ali Hanbay as a freemium educational service.
1. Information We Collect
Information you submit voluntarily
- Name, email address, and message content when you send a suggestion or complaint through the App.
- Book names, author names, and report text when you send book suggestions or content reports.
- Note content that you choose to share with the developer through the "Gelistiriciyle Paylas" option. Notes that you do not choose to share remain local to your device.
Information stored locally on your device
- Saved notes, quiz progress, wrong-answer history, app settings, theme preferences, and ad-removal status.
- Local storage is handled through on-device databases and preferences used to keep the App working offline and remember your settings.
Purchase and subscription information
- When you buy a monthly subscription, yearly subscription, or lifetime purchase, Apple App Store or Google Play process payment.
- RevenueCat is used to manage offerings, validate receipts, restore purchases, and determine whether premium access is active.
- We do not receive your full payment card number or full banking details from the stores.
Information collected automatically by third-party services
- Device and app information such as device model, operating system, app version, language, IP address, and general diagnostic data.
- App interaction, usage, crash, and performance information through Firebase services and advertising/measurement services.
- Advertising-related identifiers and similar signals used by AdMob to deliver and measure ads in the free version of the App.
- Push notification token and related delivery data if you grant notification permission.
- Approximate location may be inferred by third-party providers from IP address or device signals. The App does not request precise GPS location from your device.
Automatic authentication identifiers
- When you open the App, Firebase Anonymous Authentication automatically creates a random, anonymous identifier (UID) on your device. This UID does not contain your name, email, phone number, or any other personal information.
- The UID is used to secure communication between the App and its cloud services, and is attached to any submissions (suggestions, reports, shared notes) you send so the developer can track and respond to feedback.
- If you uninstall and reinstall the App, a new anonymous UID is generated.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide the App's educational content and offline features.
- Save your progress, preferences, and locally created notes on your device.
- Process, validate, restore, and maintain subscription or purchase access.
- Show ads in the free version of the App and manage ad consent and privacy options where required.
- Monitor app health, fix crashes, improve performance, and understand which parts of the App are being used.
- Review suggestions, reports, and shared note submissions so the App and its content can be improved.
- Send push notifications if you enable them.
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services that process information under their own privacy notices and terms. These services currently include:
- Google AdMob for advertising.
- Firebase for analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, and Firestore data storage used by feedback and content submission features.
- RevenueCat for subscription and purchase management.
Apple App Store and Google Play also process billing, subscriptions, and related account management under their own policies.
4. Ads and Consent
The free version of the App may display ads through Google AdMob. If the law in your region requires consent or a privacy options entry point, the App may present those choices before requesting certain ads.
You can later review available ad privacy options from the App's settings screen. Purchasing premium access removes ads from the App, but other service providers such as Firebase or RevenueCat may still process limited information needed for app operation, diagnostics, or purchase validation.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We may share information in the following situations:
- With service providers that help operate the App, including AdMob, Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google Play.
- If required by law, regulation, legal process, or valid government request.
- To protect the rights, safety, or security of users, the developer, or the App.
If you choose to share notes or feedback with the developer, that content may be reviewed and may be used to improve the App or future content updates. Your submitted note content is not tied to a public user profile inside the App.
6. Data Retention
- Local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App.
- Suggestions, reports, shared notes, and other server-side submissions may be retained for as long as needed to review, moderate, improve content, maintain records, or comply with legal obligations.
- Crash, analytics, advertising, and subscription records may also be retained according to the retention rules of the third-party service providers that process them.
7. Your Choices
- You can choose not to submit forms, reports, or notes to the developer.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
- You can disable notifications from your device settings at any time.
- You can stop using the App and remove most locally stored data by uninstalling it.
- You can request deletion of developer-received submission data by contacting meralihanbay@gmail.com. We may not be able to delete information that is retained only by third-party providers or where retention is legally required.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information used by the App. These measures include encrypting educational content using AES-256-CBC encryption both within bundled assets and during transfer between the App and its cloud services, and requiring authenticated access to server-side functions through Firebase Anonymous Authentication.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are also responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any store account used with the App.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of the App after an update means the revised policy applies to your future use of the App.
